Pilot courses on Roma entrepreneurship training
The Development Agency of Eastern Thessaloniki’s Local Authorities, ANATOLIKI SA as partner in the project entitled "PAL Network for Roma
Entrepreneurship" in the framework of the Erasmus + Program “ΚΑ2-Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices” implemented the event entitled "Pilot courses on entrepreneurship training" on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at the 5th Intercultural Elementary School of Menemeni.
The purpose of the pilot courses wasnot just to inform but also to test the tools of the project with the aim of providing information / training to qualified Counselors to support Roma interested in starting a business, as well as to raise awareness of the potential Roma entrepreneurs.
The courses were imlemented in two secerated sessions:
1st session: Pilot lessons for experts/lοcal stakeholders providing services to Roma on οentrepreneurship issues with the participation of 14 people
2nd session: Pilot lessons for Roma people on entrepreneurship training with the participation of 10 people.
The number of participants in both sessions was limited (10-15) in order participants to integrate their views on the materials/content of the courses developed within the PAL-PUSH project and to develop a framework for dialogue and communication as well, in order to prepare a training material that would perfectly suits the requirements of the labour market and the Roma needs.
The PAL PUSH program aims to empower Roma in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation in order to accelerate Roma inclusion by supporting the implementation of national Roma integration strategies and the establishment of the Roma Integration to the Council. It is co-funded by the European Union.
